Returns

Please note: Our Magazine Designer Clothing Offices will be closed from 20th December - 8th January. We will not be processing returns during this time. When we Open in January, please allow for 2 weeks for us to work through the returns. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Our Refund Policy

Items may be returned within 14 days of receiving your order, and must be returned in their original, unworn condition, with the original tags attached. Please ensure no transfer of perfume, deodorant, or makeup to maintain return eligibility. Please include proof of purchase and your returns form. Items returned are at the cost of the customer. Magazine Designer Clothing will not cover the cost of a lost return. We recommend using a tracked parcel.

Eligibility for Returns

Full Price Purchases:

  • Eligible for a full refund, exchange, or credit.
  • We offer one free exchange per order for domestic purchases. If additional exchanges are required there will be a $10 courier fee per additional exchange.
  • International orders will be required to pay an additional shipping fee.

Discounted up to 30%:

  • Eligible for exchange or credit, but not for a refund.
  • A $10 domestic courier fee (or international fee for your area) applies for exchanges.
  • This includes $50 Vouchers and all discounts that equal up to 35% OFF.

Discounted by 35% or More:

  • Final sale; not eligible for returns. We can only discount these items at such incredible prices by allowing no returns, therefore items returned under these conditions will be retuned to you at your cost, or a credit will be issued with a processing fee deducted of $15.

Outlet Items:

  • Outlet items are final and not eligible for returns.

Free Shipping:

  • Eligible for return if the above criteria are met; the shipping cost will be deducted from the refund/credit amount.

Free Gift with Purchase:

  • If returning a garment that included a free gift, the gift must also be returned, or its retail price will be deducted from the refund.

Shoes, Accessories, Socks, or Shapewear:

  • Due to hygiene reasons, these items are not eligible for returns unless faulty.

Buy 1 Get 1 50% OFF:

  • If an item is returned, then as the deal would no longer be met, the difference will be kept. If the 1/2 price item is returned, a credit will be issued. If the full price item is returned, then the second item becomes full priced as the deal is no longer met and will be accounted for in the return.
How do I return my purchase?
  • Re-package your garment in its original condition with all tags attached and include proof of purchase and the filled-out returns form.
  • For international returns, include a copy of your original invoice and customs document to avoid delays. Customs taxes are the customer's responsibility. If required, specify 'Returned Goods' on the customs declaration.
  • Write your name and postal address on the back of the package.

You may also return your online purchases to your nearest store. Please note, our Stylists can perform an exchange for you, or issue a credit, but cannot issue a refund. They will pass on your details to our Head Office and we will issue a refund within 5-7 working days. Let us know if you plan to do this so we can prepare any items you wish to try on as an exchange.

How do I return my in-store purchase?

Within 7 days of purchase, you can exchange your item or receive a credit note for full-price items, provided:

  • You have proof of purchase.
  • Items are unworn, undamaged, and with original tags.
  • Items were purchased at the original retail price.

Please note:

  • Sale items are not eligible for returns but can be exchanged for a different size or colour.
  • Due to hygiene reasons, we do not accept returns for jewelry, swimwear, footwear, and shapewear.

All in-store purchases must be returned to the store.

I have received the wrong item

Firstly, we are so sorry! Your online orders are packaged with love by our in-store stylists and occasionally mistakes do occur. Please contact us at webstore@magazineclothing.co.nz and we will get this sorted for you as soon as possible.

My item is faulty

We are so sorry your gorgeous item is faulty! Please let us know within 7 days of receiving your purchase if your item has arrived faulty at webstore@magazineclothing.co.nz

Items that are damaged as a result of wear and tear are not considered to be faulty. If you have an item that is faulty and you have worn it, please send it back to us clean. Soiled returns will not be accepted.

We will repair, replace or refund the item within 7 days of return receipt. Magazine Designer Clothing will refund the shipping amount to return the item and cover shipping costs to replace or return an item to you if an item is faulty.
